The ULTRA study is overseen by a study team from the University of California Fibroid NetworkThe UC Fibroid Network is a California-wide collaboration to improve the care of women with fibroids through research, education, and collaborative clinical practice.

 

Dr. Vanessa Jacoby, MD, MAS, from the University of California, San Francisco, is the principal investigator of the UC Fibroid Network.

Jacoby, MD, MAS - Principal Investigator for ULTRA

Dr. Vanessa Jacoby is the Principal Investigator for ULTRA. Dr. Jacoby is an obstetrician gynecologist with a special interest in new minimally invasive treatments for uterine fibroids.

Dr. Jacoby graduated from the University of California, San Francisco Medical School where she also completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Masters Degree in Clinical Research. She is passionate about conducting research that provides women with fibroids the best possible scientific evidence to guide and inform their treatment decisions.

Dr. Jacoby is the lead investigator for the University of California Fibroid Network, a state-wide collaboration to improve the care of women with fibroids through research, education, and collaborative clinical practice.

 

Vanessa Monzon - Assistant Project Director for ULTRA

Vanessa Monzon is an Assistant Project Director in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. Vanessa has coordinated many clinical research studies at the University of California, San Francisco and enjoys interacting with study participants. She is especially passionate about research that helps women make informed decisions about their health.

 

 

Lisa Abinanti - Project Director for ULTRA

Lisa is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and has been working in women’s health research for the past 10 years and counting. She has deep concern for women’s health issues and is happy to be a part of this wonderful team.
